So ironic that a man who would defy death would succomb to it later after the war. It just shows God had a purpose for Audie as a warrior and a hero at a time when our country needed it the most.

I lived in Virginia at the time of his death. I have watched To Hell and Back several times and many of his other movies. I was so sorry that someone who gave so much died so young.
