I wish Audie Murphy movies were back on TV, these young people today have no idea what a real hero is. Today the far left boo our heros, and it greatly upsets me.

I have alway loved Audie Murphy. I have visited the Museum in Greenville, Texas during Audie Days. I met Ben Cooper and Paul Picerni at that time. I wished I could have met Audie in person. My Dad was also in WWII. We follow the routes of where my Dad was and where Audies units were. I babyset for a family that had one of Audies registered Quarter Horses. Hancocks Dude. I still watch any of his movies when ever I can. My favorite would be either Destry or Tumbleweed.

I am honored to have a chance to learn and read about a man who overcame so much hardship, both in and out of the Army. No one could ever ask for a better role model. May he rest in peace and blessing be with his family and comrades.

I am proud to have Audie Murphy from my home state and to know that there were men like him. If only the younger generation of today could have the values and the determination he did we would be a lot better country. Seventeen year olds today are more concerned in drinking, smoking, and doing nothing than being proud of being an American. I would have been honored to call him my friend and will never forget his bravery.
