I have been an Audie Murphy fan for as long as I can remember. He was an admirable man and a true American Hero!
I have to admit as a young girl and teenager I had a really big crush on him because he was drop dead handsome and a movie star to boot. But as I read about and learned more about him I was awed that such a person even existed.Brave beyond anything I could imagine and generous of himself, tough as nails and a superb marksman. He was a shining example of the American soldier and the American citizen of his time!

Helluva hero. Stopped at his grave at Arlington a few years ago and reflected on his sacrifices.

Audie Murphy was my favorite actor when I was young (a teenager). I so admired him as an actor and after watching 'To Hell And Back' that made me love him even more. What a great person and example he was and should be to young and old people. I didn't know he had a personal website honoring him. I have told my kids for years about him and how much I admired him. So glad to see this site being made to honor him.
Thank you,

AUDIE was a great american hero. He makes me proud to be an american. I hope that the american youth of today could understand and respect that they are receiving and reaping the rewards that he and his and his generation paid for us. I hope and pray that we. ( this ) generation doesn't bankrupt the freedom and power we haves. That coated the greatest generation all they had.

I have always been impressed by Audie Murphy and all that he was able to accomplish during his short time on this earth. From his humble and hard childhood, through the war and then as an actor and business man he was very courageous. He always remembered the people around him and gave them their rightful recognition.

Audie Murphy was a man of honor and for that, he was always a hero that I looked up to.

God Bless him....
