I actually learnt about Audie whilst studying trivia and find his story both inspirational and sad. Memories of heroes such as these are what make your Country great.
A proud Englishman recognizing a great American and human being.

TRUE HEROES ARE FAR AND FEW IN THIS DAY AND AGE. WE NEED MORE REMINDERS TO LET US KNOW HOW FORTUNATE WE ARE THAT THEY WERE WILLING TO MAKE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. MR MURPHY CERTAINLY NEEDS TO BE REMEMBERED FOR WHAT HE DID.

It is so sad that THE hero of America has almost been lost to memory, and that a goodly number of folks who do remembe him do so only as a movie actor.

It is such a shame that we have so few heroes today. Certainly none in positions of power.

May God bless the memory of Audie Murphy and all those who have given their lives so that we may have some semblance of peace

Lest we never forget what this great American gave so freely, and what he did for his country, so that free people may someday realize the true cost of freedom.
It is really shamefull that so many Americans do not know who Audie Murphy is, and what he did for the U.S. Whatever we can do to keep his memory and deeds alive should be done at all costs.

My dad and I were talking about Audie Murphy this past weekend. Then I saw that Farmersville, Tx had a street named after him, so I checked out on the internet about where he was from, etc.

It's Memorial Day and I thought I would look up Audie Murphy and tell some people about him. I loved his movies and think that it is great he was a brave soldier. We also have the Audie Murphy Veteran's Hospital near us.
