Audie's movie "To Hell and Back" was a very good movie of WW2. I have watched it many times, as did my brother who served in Korean and Viet NAm wars. My 2 oldest brothers were in WW2 in the Navy. I love to watch war movies as I think it shows what America was at one time, not like it is now. More kids should get to know about wars America has fought in and helped other people other than Iraq. America used to be an big country that could stand alone no more. I hope God comes back into America like He was during the wars that America has been in. Too many died for it to be so downgraded like other coutry do us now. I saw the Arizonia sitting at the bottom of the ocean and it mad me so sad. Oil is still leaking from her even today. Some of the svhool kids didn't even know anything about that battle. My granddson said that to me and I told him he wouldn't either if it hadn't of been for me. My war movies he learned something from them. Thank God he did a great country America once was and I'm praying will again. I thank Audie for all he did. A tough little fellow he was.  We need a lot like him today in America.

I am a Vietnam vet, I was surprised to learn of Audie's Heroism and incredible bravery. I was watching PBS. When they were talking about Audie and the movies that he had starred in. We should never forget these special men who have put it all on the line for our great country. Added: June 3, 2011

I just recently become educated on Audie Murphy and his accomplishments,awards and bravery. I can say there has not and may not ever be a solider like him. I am proud to say I am an American and knowing he fought for the freedoms I have today warms my heart. God Bless America and the men and women who fight for it. Thank You Added: June 3, 2011

I have always been a fan of Audie and touched by his bravery during the war. People always think I was named after him, however my Father's name was Audey (Unger) born in 1901. I was born in 1950. My Mother's brother's were all in the war so I heard their stories throughout my younger years. I went to see the movies at the Grand movie house in the late 40's and early 50's to see Audie play himself in WW2 movies and he was my Hero.
