My father, Homer H Stark, himself a veteran of WWII had a lot of respect for Audie Murphy. Sadly, he passed away in 2008. They should never be forgotten, freedom is not free!

My wife and I were at Arlington Cemetery when they were digging his grave. We did not know he had passed away and felt a real loss when we heard that awful news. He was a real hero and no one will ever surpass that. We hope somehow his memory is kept alive forever.

In my personal opinion I do not know of anyone in any country that has done what Audie Murphy has done while a member of the U.S. Armed Forces. I take into consideration his age. If you know of anyone who has done more than him, please let me know. We should preserve the memory of Audie Murphy.
