Audie is the personification of the American Spirit. He came from a very humble background and through his dedication and courage, he became America's greatest hero by the time he was 20 years old. We should honor his memory in every way possible.

This man got my attention when I was a kid. I saw To Hell and Back several times. There will never be another like Audie Murphy.

I am a member of the SGT Morales Club inducted in Germany back in the late 80's. I transferred to Ft Hood and I was inducted there into the Sgt Audie Murphy Club as well. There was a wall at headquarters listing the members names for all to see as they entered. There was no true world wide web back then. I think it would be nice if there were a list posted here of members to be view by the world.

Very informative. Can understand why so many people were proud of him. Died too young. I didn't realise that was when he died - always wondered why there wasn't more movies and info about him. Well done website.
