I remember my father talking of Mr Murphy when I was a small lad in 1959 remarking that he was the most decorated man in WW11.

Its thanks to people like him that my grandchildren can live in a free world Thank you WFW.

This man was an American Hero! Yet anyone younger than 50 years old have never heard of him. What a shame! Man of honor! A true American hero! If there is a day to honor Martin Luther King then surely there should be a day to honor our American heroes of which Audie Murphy is chief!

It's so important to keep his memory alive. My husband & I watch his movies all the time. I didn't know he died so tragically before his time.

I salute Audi and admire not only his actions and deeds while in uniform but his grasp on learning acting skills that still live on today. Hero's are hard to find these days and while Audi was taken away at an early age, his memory still lingers for years to come.

I have respected Audie Murphy since I learned about him in High School. I fell in love with him when I saw his movies. All high school girls loved Audie. He was a brave man and true hero. I have told all 4 of my sons about Audie Murphy. He is the role model I want for them not the sports stars from today.
