Having grown up after the Second World War, Audie Murphy was a much admired person for his exploits during the War. I remember watching his movies and could not get enough of his stories.

I'm 61 and I have watched several of his movies. He seemed very genuine and i'm sorry he did go through all he went through, but he still was an amazing man.

I have enjoyed the presentation on Audie Murphy. He has always been my favorite hero!!! He has been an inspiration from his very early life, through his war time service to our country, and even through his movie years!!

Thanks to you, Audie Murphy Research Foundation,

He was and alway's will be my biggest hero,i went to all his movie's, i don't know how many billy the kid movie's he was in, but i'am sure i seen all of them, and to hell and back , i mean what can be said, that's a classic. but you american's don't see him for what he was, think for a minute about what he did, now picture yourself on that tank, and with all the german's firing at you like he had to face, what would you do,well you know what he did,and that' why he'll alway's be my hero. REST IN PEACE( AUDIE MURPHY ) FROM A STRANGER. )

It is hard to comprehend the extent of Audie Murphy's acts of heroism. Having served in Korea with the US Army in the mid 50's, I never experienced combat. I would only hope that I could acquit myself with one tenth the heroism of Audie Murphy.
