I to used to watch Audie Murphy films. He always looked so young and for him to pass away as he did was quite shocking as I can remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the news on the radio. Rip and God Bless .

I'm in awe that I've never heard his story before. As a navy vet and deployed overseas often but never knew his story. Glad I do now after it popped up on FB so I've researched it! God Bless him and all who served with him!

I was an admirer of Audie Murphy since I was a child back in Israel, where I loved watching him in the various westerns he made, his name became a gingle amongs us kids there.As an adult I learned to admire him for his heroism in WW-2.
