Always heard stories about Audie Murphy from my dad Matthew Diabo a Mohawk native who served alongside Audie. He was so proud to have called him " his buddy"

I first heard about Audie Murphy when the Swedish band Sabaton sang about him in their song "To Hell and Back". The singer and composer, Joakim, said Audie's story was absolutely amazing and highly encouraged his listeners to check it out. So here I am, excited to learn about the most decorated soldier in history and gain ammunition should I encounter anyone who claims Audie was a "Christmas tree" (decorated just for propaganda/PR reasons).
