It's a shame that this great county of ours doesn't inform our youth of the people that made great sacrifices for the good of our freedom.l am a father of three children and I try to impart how important it is to respect and remember those that did.god bless America and those who fight for her

I have admired Audie L. Murphy since I was a kid. He was everything I attributed to being an American Hero; both as a Service man and a film star. I had the honor of serving in the USAF during the Viet Nam Conflict. I would like to think that I served in the memory of such individuals as Audie Murphy with honor and humility. I have attempted to pass on the respect and honor carried by the legacy of all of those serving in the Armed Services to my son. :!inlove

Murphy was one of my biggest heroes when I was growing up. I cut my teeth on WW II history, and have studied most of the major battles fought therein. I am a child of WW II, born in October, 1942.

I am a retired deputy sheriff. I was raised in TX. Audie is my hero, and one of my favorite actors, I have many of his movies. I agree he should never be forgotten for his contributions to this country. My Dad was an army physician, he was stationed stateside at the Percy Jones Hospital in MI. I was born there. When I was 6 months old we moved back to NE TX. I am proud to be a Texan, and proud to love and appreciate Audie L Murphy.
