As a army veteran, I again watched Audie Murphy's movie today for the 6th time. Throughout the movie we constantly saw Audie send troops away from imminent danger while he stayed to fight the enemy. I Googled Audie Murphy and was surprised to see that, when he received his medals he was only 19 1/2 years old.Just a boy - but what a soldier. Added: November 12, 2016

I REMEMBER AUDIE MURPHY AS A YOUNG BOY ENJOYED HIS MOVIES AND KNEW HE WAS A WAR HERO AT THAT AGE BORN IN 1953 MY FATHER WAS IN THE MILITARY ALSO STSTIONED IN GERMANY AND HE FOUGHT IN KOREA AND VIETNAM AND I AM PROUDTO BE AN AMERICAN TO KNOW THERE ARE SUCH HERO'S AS MR. MURPHY AND MY DAD. I'M WATCHING HELL BENT FOR LEATHER[1960] RIGHT NOW AT 7 A.M. 11/11/16 SO MR. MURPHY IS TIMELESS AND STILL IN MY HEART ALONG WITH MY FATHER.
