I love Audie Murphy and remember well the first movie I ever saw of his, Ride to Diablo!

I learned later of his highly decorated military achievements!

He will always be remembered by me and my boyfriend!

Mr. Murphy is the face I see every time I hear someone say the words: American Fighting Hero. His gentle voice and gleaming smile helped replaced the father I lost to The Lord when I was but 3 years old. I have seen every picture he starred in and hundreds of photos not only depicting his duty to country but to family as well.
This man helped me more than I can ever recall and I will be ever thankful that I lived in an era that covered his later years as I was born in 1949 in a small town in Virginia that adored him as a symbol of a true American, and a true Hero.

I am from that era,,,,and admire,,no,,,,more than that,,realize the sacrifice these people gave to protect, and enforce the freedom of the free world,,as we still know it today..and that "freedom" continues to be attacked...we need more people like that,,that realize the gravity of losing our freedom....and these people are still here,,and willing to give their lives,,to protect that freedom,,for our offspring,,our babies,,,their future,,,,i feel sorry for my kids,,and the only salvation is,,knowing,,that we are right,,in contiuing to protect our freedom,,of choice--religion or way of life we choose,,good or bad,,and may the"good" prevail.......to protect "our" way of life--------- :!muscle: :!muscle: :!muscle:
