I admire the courage and sacrifices of Audie Murphy very much. Although I have served in two combat tours I have not even come close to the accomplishments of this honorable man. He is someone that I will always emulate in my military career.

my husband is Audies 2nd cousin.....his mother , being his 1st cousin, played with him in their childhood years and was very proud of him in his later accomplishment. A very sad day with his death. He has never been forgotten by his immediate family and never will and his great life stories are told to all the new generations of his family. many attend Audie Murphy days. Many in the family collect his memories and his movies are watched and loved to this day and will always be introduced to any new members of this family.....Audies existing family will always keep his memory alive.
