I have been an Audie Murphy fan since I bought To Hell and Back about 10 years ago . I am 49 years of age . I was 7 when he died . To Hell and Back is one of my very favorite war movies because it is a true story and the actor playing Audie Murphy ,is Audie Murphy . What a great American he was . I own The Whispering Smith T.V. series and a few more of his movies . I am going to buy more . The Whispering Smith series is so good I don't know why it was only on one season.

I am 54 and a veteran of the military myself although I never went to war or any conflict. I love all honorable veterans to me it is very sad that people today do not care about what the military veterans of past and current wars really do us.

I curious why neither of these awards were bestowed. Does the Country feel the Congressional Medal is its highest to give and Texas electing not to award its medal?
