I am very impressed and honored to sign the guest book of this highly respected and dedicated soldier and veteran. There are very few that would live up to the actions of this man and his integrity. Rest in Peace, Mr. Audie Murphy, May your honor and dignity follow you into eternity....Sincerely, J. Micahel Jobe, USAF 72-77 Added: July 30, 2013

My father served with Audie Murphy in the Third Division, in World War II. Dad was in the battle when Murphy earned his Medal of Honor as well as for quite a length of time as they moved across France. What an amazing man and soldier Audie Murphy was. Dad is still alive and I know he would love to hear from anyone else who knew Murphy personally, so they could compare war stories and memories. Please contact me if you are such a person. As a Texan, I am very proud of Mr. Murphy's accomplishments. As an Army Veteran, I'm very grateful for how he served his country. As a lover of good westerns, I'm overjoyed by his contributions. Today was the first time my wife EVER enjoyed a Western. She was born in New York City. We watched " Posse From Hell" and she was riding and shooting with Cole, Caddo, (the characters name escapes me right now) and John Saxon. Thank you Audie Murphy for how you have enriched my life. My first movie star crush was Audie Murphy. What's changed? Nothing except that now I am 70 and still hold him in the highest regard. He is undoubtedly the reason I have such a passion to support military men and women. I believe he is the one "star" that did not disappoint. Audie is also the personification of what we know now is an "undiagnosed/untreated case" of PTSD. As one who lived through the Vietnam era and now Afghanistan and Iraq, I have worked with and to support military suffering from PTSD and whose sacrifice is carried forward long after their return. God Bless Audie Murphy and the example he's been to our nation and to service men and women for decades. Author Joyce Godwin Grubbs Added: July 28, 2013

I have always deeply admired Audie Murphy for his character from a youth on... Few could ever live up to the high expectations he set for himself. A true American hero. He was also my FAVORITE actor. My grandson who is entering the Marines soon, was very impressed with what I related to him about this great man who he had no knowledge of. I will continue to pass the word. We lost him all too soon... Added: July 26, 2013

I first became interested in Audie Murphy after seeing the movie "To Hell and Back." Knowing it was a true story, I was impressed by the level of responsibility felt by what I would these days call "a kid." I have since seen that movie no less than 10 times; every time I catch it on cable I simply must watch it. I so regret that Audie Murphy died at such a young age because I would have loved to have heard him speak about his life. Thank you for this wonderful website which is very informative and entertaining. I believe in every great while there is a person who comes along which is of such great influence and makes such an impression that we know we will never see another one like him. To me Audie Murphy is one of those people. Added: July 26, 2013 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
