I still watch his movies whenever they are on. He was a great soldier and a very good actor. Lost him too soon!

I had the pleasure of learning from the movie "To Hell and Back", about Audie Murphy's valour and service to his country and liberation of Europe and was really touched by his dedication and unselfishness. He just came to mind as I was watching the movie Saving Private Ryan. so I decided to check the web for information about Audie Murphy. It would have been a shame if he was forgotten, so am very happy to find this piece dedicated to his life and memory and am hoping that his life story is included in American School history curriculum so that the younger generation can learn about this very special man.

Thank you for keeping his memory alive!

Have always held a special place in my heart ever since I saw the movie of his life. What a tremendous man he was. We all can thank him for his bravery and service. I lost a father in WW11 a month before the end of the war. I was born a about 2 weeks later. I have always been very proud of him and all the soldiers who have served and those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Thanks, Audie. Thanks, Dad.
