MAJ Murphy has been my favorite historical figure for years, but I have just been assigned to the Texas National Guard training facility which bears his name.
I'm thankful for his service and those who served with him through his amazing life. Not forgetting the countless people who keep his memory alive. Please don't ever stop!

I am a big fan of Audie Murphy, I love all his movies and I love him too, I wish I had all of his movies he ever made, I do have a few, and I watch them every time they come on the western channel. He is deeply missed.

He was a hero. I will never forget him. He was so young when he went to war. I was a preteen when I started going to the movies and had a crush on him. It was later that I found out he was the most decorated soldier in World War II. He had such a baby face and was so soft spoken, and a a great soldier. We have some like him, but not many. Rest in Peace Soldier, Job well done....

I can remember being told the story of Audie Murphy all my life. My mother was born and lived during her childhood in Farmersville, TX. She had five brothers in WWII, three which made a career of it, and one, Matthew Monk, who was in the Bataan Death March. Every time we had a family gathering, WWII was refought and Audie Murphy's name always came up. He was very well thought of and a true hero. One of his movies was recently on TV and I told his story to my youngest grandchildren. They were in awe! I hope he will never be forgotten. I know I won't.

I have went to every Audie Murphy movie that was shown in our little town. Then I learned what a hero he was.
He should never be forgotten either as a hero or a actor.
His films are shown less and less on TV. Even TCM is a disappointment. Hope they will show more of his movies in the future.
