Audy seemed to be a modest man, not a gung ho manufactured hero, but a genuine modest american, not a warmonger but a patriot. A man whom America can be justly proud of.

Every Medal of Honor Heroe deserves something like this to be done for them. In memory of not only their Honor and what they did for their brothers in arms with them in foxholes, in fighter planes on ships or in submarines but what we as a people of the United States of America need to do for our selves in order that we do not let our selves down by letting our heroes down because we forgot what they did to PROTECT OUR WAY OF FREEDOM and TO KEEP IT THAT WAY !!!!!!!!!!

I remember Audie Murphy in many movies as a young man. My father, an Marine, used to say when we watched one of Murphy's movies that he never forgot his training--he always carried the rifle at port arms when running.
An excellent example for all Americans.
I hope that his memory never dies.
