I have loved Audie Murphy since 1970. He was an amazing man and a hero that will live on forevere. I read his book "To Hell and Back" and saw the movie also. He suffered from depression because of the war. He had a very hard life as a boy and took care of his younger siblings as best as he could. When he died a part of me died too.

No. 1 and No.3 are my favorite pictures. They look the most like the real Audie Murphy, I believe. He was without a doubt a great hero. God Bless Him and may he always rest in peace.

Love there is site up. I learned about Sgt. York and Audie Murphy from my father while watching westerns of Saturday afternoons. My son received information and knowledge of them while in Army. Some people remember but less all the time, unfortunately.

Hi, my name is Jackie. I am a huge fan of Audie Murphy as a person, actor and veteran. It's too bad there wasn't much known about the psychological damage that war does to our armed forces. I admire Audie for the way he lived after WWII. I can't even imagine how much pain he was in after the war because of the campaigns he took part in. He did the best he could with the resources he had. I have all of the movies Audie made that are in print. I enjoy watching him on the screen. He is my Zen. I tried to read all I can about him. I want to get to know him the best that anyone can. I want to make a difference now to the veterans who are still alive today. I am a Clinical Pharmacist I hope I can. I hope I don't sound too corny, but I feel strongly about our veterans. Thanks for your time.

I recently visited Arlington National with my thirteen year old son. He was aware of Audie Murphy. One of our stops was the grave site. Of a true american hero.
