As a kid in Africa our movie hall screened a lot of westerns in our little town on lake Victoria.

I remember watching a many movies of Audie Murphy. today as of 9/5/2015, I watched one too on the net.
Unfortunately, I was very saddened to learn that my childhood hero had passed away in the prime of his life.

remember u always for the wonderful memories I have of the cinema times watching your movies sometimes from under the door if run out of cash other times with a bottle of vimto filled with peanuts cheering u beating up the villains. Proud to learn u were a hero in real life too.

My husband and I are visiting with his parents, who are great fans of old classic movies. We just watched "No Name on the Bullet." My mother-in-law thought Audie Murphy had that title put on his gravestone. In searching the web, I found this site . . . So I have to add my name to the list of admirers of Audie Murphy. He was a deserving and unassuming person who, naturally, became a superhero. (I also just read Kate DiCamillo's "Flora and Ulysses." All her books are amazing.) :o

I grew up in awe of Audie Murphy. Read the book and have the dvd of to Hell and Back. When I was a kid I was going to hunt him down and marry him. That didn't work out, but my admiration of him continues. Thank you for your service!
