Big Audie Murphy fan I guess the last of my breed, the baby boomers. People were still talking about him when I was a kid. My grandparents were in their 40's and were still talking about WWII like it was yesterday.

Just wanted to add my name to website of the Hero and Actor Audie Murphy, a beautiful man whose life was cut tragically short after all he had endured. I loved him as an actor and thought he was such a handsome man, and I admired him for everything he achieved when he was so young. God Bless you dear Audie, thank you for the legacy you gave us. * * *

I knew Audie very well in California. We were good friends and saw each other regularly. I loved him very much. We were both native Texans. His death really upset me. I hope his sons are doing well!!

He will always be a hero to me I many times shed a tear when I think of him. No greater texican than he I am 57 yrs old and my favorite hero since I was four. I tell the youth of his courage we must never forget him even if our republic lives a thousand years we must not allow him to be forgotten. May God bless him and the people that helped make him what he was. And God bless our great republic.
