Just wanted to add my name to website of the Hero and Actor Audie Murphy, a beautiful man whose life was cut tragically short after all he had endured. I loved him as an actor and thought he was such a handsome man, and I admired him for everything he achieved when he was so young. God Bless you dear Audie, thank you for the legacy you gave us. * * *

I knew Audie very well in California. We were good friends and saw each other regularly. I loved him very much. We were both native Texans. His death really upset me. I hope his sons are doing well!!

He will always be a hero to me I many times shed a tear when I think of him. No greater texican than he I am 57 yrs old and my favorite hero since I was four. I tell the youth of his courage we must never forget him even if our republic lives a thousand years we must not allow him to be forgotten. May God bless him and the people that helped make him what he was. And God bless our great republic.

I'm a 4th grade Texas history teacher and we learned about Audie Murphy today. The students were fascinated to find out how young he was when he became a war hero! They also thought it was cool that he became a movie star. Glad to see his legacy will remain string through your website. Thanks!

Audie Murphy was a real man, a man that young men should look up to demonstrate patriotism, strong with integrity, pride, strength, of course bravery. My Father was in the Marine Corp. his name was John R. Henry, my dad reminded me a lot of Audie, I try to watch all his westerns and military movies as much as possible, Thank you Audie for my freedom because you fought so I and others couls be free, Thank you to all the Murphy family, God Bless, John

My 8 year old nephew has discovered history and is currently very interested in World War II. On a recent sleepover weekend to explore all of my books and documentaries, I introduced him to Audie Murphy (through the movie "To Hell and Back";). He has decided that for his school project in history this month where they have to be an important person in American history, he will be Audie Murphy and tell his class about this remarkable young man. He is using your site for research and reference (and his teachers think he is a pretty cool kid to know about Audie). We also talked about how terrible the war was and how Audie suffered afterwards and that maybe the bravest thing he did was to talk about it openly. So glad this site exists, for so many reasons. Just wanted to share. :)
