Audie Murphy's movie, "To Hell and Back", was an inspiration to a poor farmer's family growing up in Iowa. He made poverty less restraining and courage something always be proud of. Added: February 19, 2011

I am a retired Master Sergeant who served for thirty two years both in the Regular Army and also as a reservist in an Armored Battalion. I am old enough to have lived through World WarII, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. However I have never seen action but I do very much appreciate those who have served gallantry and made the supreme sacrifice. I have always been a great admirer of Audie L. Murphy and have seen "To Hell and Back" numerous times. Added: February 18, 2011

The first time I heard the name Audie L. Murphy was from my father. My father a very proud man told me all that Audie had done. I have come to be very impressed with Mr. Murphy's acting ability and bio. I plan on purchasing "From hell and back" in the very near future. I am so....sorry that I never heard of him until I married my second husband in 2000. He asked me to sit and watch one oh his movies on Saturday afternoon. I have been hooked ever since!!!
