To honor the beloved memory of most-distinguished World War II veteran AUDIE LEON MURPHY, existing and future generations of Americans should preserve -- and perpetuate -- BOTH his patriotism AND his heritage.

As the years, and decades, progress while personal and collective memories gradually fade and eventually vanish with old-age and death, let us ETERNALLY PRESERVE the legacies of AUDIE LEON MURPHY and ALL World War II veterans in every branch-of-service: Army, U.S. Army Air Corps, Air Force, Navy, and U.S. Maritime Service.

I was born in 1949 and Audie Murphy was one of my heroes. His actions in WWII were they stuff of Hollywood with the difference being they were real. I honestly can't understand why nobody's made a remake of "To hell and Back" Gives me goosebumps just thinking about what he did. It would be a sin to forget any of "the greatest generation", but unthinkable to lose Sgt. Murphy's story. Let's not let it happen.

Since being a little kid and going to the movies for 10 cents I have enjoyed Audie Murphy movies. I hope to buy some one day! Not sure where just yet. To bad the movies on the computer are grainy and or pixilated!

Keep up the great work!

thought I just let people know big fan of audie murphy films also of his exploits in world war 2. was a little shocked when I was on a cruise got to share a table with an American couple lovely people but when I bought up about audie murphys heroics in the war they where oblivious to them and did not know who he was. seems America and Britain have a lot in common when it comes to teaching our younger generation of the reasons they can still call themselves americans and british. we forget about true hero's then make a hero out of someone like eddie the eagle who in my eyes was a embarresment. let just hope great people like audie murphy are not forgotten.
