I just discovered this site. However, I have been an Audie Murphy fan all of my life. Sixty one years. I served in the US Army 1973-1976. I am very concerned about preserving our herritage, and instilling in our young people, the responsibilities they carry to honor those folks who paid. After Audie Murphy's death, the press clearly stated their position on such matters. It is my duty to ensure my grandchildren learn, and always remember freedom is not free. Westerns are watched on a daily basis in my house. The old ones that is. Audie Murphy left us with pure, family entertainment. It reflected our past as a nation, and certainly defined who he was in real life. A true American Hero! Thanks for the website.

Just want to say America needs to remember. No one realizes What their lives would be like without the people who fought for our freedom and rights. I Will never forget Mr. Murphy...the greatest hero of the greatest generation. As I will never forget my father who fought in ww2 also..
