My wife and I visited the museum about ten years ago. Sadly, my love has since passed away, so I've not been back. I greatly admired Audie Murphy, saw all his films, and hoped to meet him someday. I was unable to attend his funeral to pay respects, being on duty in the Navy. Admin reply: Neil, thank you for your personal message and the memory of your visit with your late wife to the Audie Murphy Museum in Greenville. On behalf of the foundation, please accept our sorrow over your recent loss. Added: August 24, 2020

I was reminded of his incredible acts of valor when looking at Purple Heart recipients. He seemed to be much more well-known when I was a child back in the 60's. It is a shame his name does not come up in the media more often (if at all). RIP Lt. Murphy. You did more for this country than almost anyone in history. Added: August 24, 2020

I’m the proud daughter of a Korean War Veteran, Army Ranger. I myself am a Desert Storm Veteran, Air Force. I had the honor of being a guardian for my father on an Honor Flight to DC. When we visited Arlington National Cemetery, my dad only wanted to see 2 grave sites; a friend of his, a WWII Air Ace and Audie Murphy. My dad introduced me to his movies some years back and I watch them all the time on cable networks. I sure wish they were made into digital format for purchase. I’m hoping to pass along my admiration for him to my grandsons. Admin reply: Hi Deb. Thank you for your beautiful message and your family's remembrance of Audie Murphy. On behalf of the Foundation and Audie's followers, we thank you and your father for your service too. God Bless. Added: August 22, 2020

I have had respect for Audie Murphy for many years. I have seen every one of his movies and sit in awe of his military time. My father, C. D. Weaver was in the Navy on the USS Adams off the coast of Okinawa in March, 1945 and buried at sea. He left my mother with 5 kids at home and I think that is what drew me so close with Audie Murphy. I thank him for all of his service for our country.I know God had a special plan for his life. Added: August 20, 2020 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
