audie Murphy is amazing! He always looks so young in his movies. It is stunning to think that someone with such slight physical stature could have accomplished all of those extremely brave deeds.

I have had respect for Audie Murphy for many years. I have seen every one of his movies and sit in awe of his military time.

My father, C. D. Weaver was in the Navy on the USS Adams off the coast of Okinawa in March, 1945 and buried at sea. He left my mother with 5 kids at home and I think that is what drew me so close with Audie Murphy.

I thank him for all of his service for our country.I know God had a special plan for his life.

Never in the history of the US has there been a man as brave as Audie. He should have run for public office. His memory will in my heart for the rest of my days. RIP Audie, you died for to young.

I served 25 years in the US Army and viewed a display case in the III Corps Headquarters building with Audie Murphy's items. I also was able to visit the Majestic Theater front in San Antonio where Audie posed for a picture on top of a tank. The picture is also displayed in the III Corps HQ. He will always be remembered in the Infantry for his courage, candor and professionalism. I wished I could have meet him.

Admin reply: Robert, I too served with the Phantom III Corps and also the now deactivated 2nd Armored Division. I share your pride. Thank you for your service.

Audie becomes more amazing as I continue to learn about him and pass this history down to our 4 sons.

Admin reply: Ollie, thank you for sharing Audie's legacy with your 4 children. We are lucky there are great mothers like you trying to teach their children Audie's great legacy.
