I have loved Audie Murphy since I saw one of his Westerns in the late 1990s. He was truly an amazing man. I wish there were more people who knew of him. Admin reply: Cindy, I remember the first time I saw an Audie Murphy movie. I was a transplanted Texas 11 year old who had to move to New Orleans. I was so homesick it hurt. I saw on the marquis of the Saenger-Orleans movie theater on Canal Street the billing "The Texican" with Audie Murphy. I have been hooked ever since. Added: July 24, 2020

I grew up watching Audie Murphy movies and always enjoyed them. My favorite movie of his is To Hell and Back; it's hard be to believe the things that he accomplished as a soldier. I was sad to hear that his life ended early. I look back fondly on watching his westerns on a Saturday afternoon. Admin reply: Hi Stan! I also grew up watching THAB as a kid and have read the book several times. I can tell you as the webmaster for the Audie Murphy Research Foundation, Audie's feats are greatly understated too. Glad to see there is a website dedicated to preserving the memory of Audie Murphy, an American hero and real life Captain America.
