Our family used to see his movies when I was a child. My father also served in WWII, and he spoke of the heroism of Audie Murphy. He was always highly respected not only for military reasons, but he was always presented in a good way in the films. Insp TV has been playing some of his movies and we have so enjoyed them. Thank you for honoring him with this site.

I have admired Audie Murphy since I was a child. His heroism was told to me by my parents. I'm so proud of the fact that he 'made it to Arlington'. May his true acts of bravery be retold to future generations, and, hopefully, inspire others to love our country the way he did. Rest in peace, Mr. Murphy.

Just looked him up tonight. Watching a western 40 Guns to Apache Pass. Wanted to know more since I didn't know anything about him. I think he is a superb actor. RIP Audie.

I was assigned to the 3rd. Infantry Division attached to the 2nd. Battalion 41st. Field Artillery in West Germany August 1971.
I've always referred to the 3rd. ID as the Audie Murphy Division.
