Audie Murphy is, in my view, the greatest American of all time. I have been infatuated by him since I first saw "TO HELL AND BACK", when I was about about ten years old. I watch everything I can that has him in it. To loose him at the young age of 46 was a tradgedy. I hope more young people made an attempt to check him out.

Thinking of all of our warriors in all of our conflicts, and of the finest generation this country has ever produced. Thinking of my Dad and his service in the Pacific, and of Audie Murphy, who so well represents the courage and sacrifice of all those who served in World War II. May God Bless his memory and may we always honor those who gave so much so that we could be free.

The epitome of what a great American soldier is! Just your average American kid that refused to settle for anything less than what he knew he was capable of. I am grateful to be an inductee of the coveted FORSCOM Sgt Audie Murphy club.

This is an honor to sign this for the Audie Murphy Memorial. I have seen his monument at Arlington several times when visiting and have read his book several times.
I greatly admire what our men and women accomplished to win WW II and other wars America has had to fight. I have been fortunate to visit DC and observe the many monuments and take our two grandsons. Our youngest had the chance to see the WW II monument and it is as awesome as the many others in our Capitol.
