I saw "To Hell and Back" recently, and I must say that he was a "real American war hero" for his exploits in WW II. Oh yes, a "Whispering Smith" TV series episode "The Interpreter" was found last October at The Library of Congress, so you can watch it at TMG's website or You Tube.

Audie Murphy is, in my view, the greatest American of all time. I have been infatuated by him since I first saw "TO HELL AND BACK", when I was about about ten years old. I watch everything I can that has him in it. To loose him at the young age of 46 was a tradgedy. I hope more young people made an attempt to check him out.
