There is no greater gift than to offer one's life for one's fellows. What more Stirling, nay - Golden Example of Selflessness , Giving, Bravery, Daring, Talent, Determination, Persistence, Courage, Leadership, Sacrifice and Love has there ever been? I can think of only one at the moment, and I am certain Audie must have called on Him many times.

I grew up watching Audy Murphy Movies and loved everyone I saw. The Destry series and the movie on his life in WWII were my favorites. He showed great courage and faith in his shows. We have much to thank him for in service to his country and his films.

Thank you

I rediscovered Audie Murphy two months ago.

After his death I put him in the back of my mind while I was busy raising a family. I totally forgot about him until I saw Destry a few months ago.

Since then I've acquired a few of his films. To Hell and Back being my favorite.

I read all I could find on the internet which is very little and very repetitive except for the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Website. Thank you Terry Murphy for keeping your father's memory alive. We baby boomers need it to introduce our grown children to your father.

Today, I watched No Name on the Bullet on Encore Westerns Channel. Loved Mr. Murphy's character, John Gant. He did such a good acting job I felt sorry for Gant when he wouldn't let the doctor help him.

Audie Murphy had the looks and talent to go farther than Universal Pictures took him. What a shame.

Major Audie L. Murphy, thank you for your honorable service to our country and for the freedom we have.

A grateful American,
Janice Royal

After I saw the movie to Hell and Back, he became my hero. My dad also told me about him, they were both from Texas and served in WW11.
I followed news about him till his death in 1971. I felt such a loss for the America, upon his death. His example heroism, bravery and modesty, deserve remembrance.
May he rest in peace.
Jim Wilson
