Audi Murphy has been an inspiration in my life. I am a veteran i served during the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam War. I am a U.S NAVY VET. My dream was to become an actor and hope one day to meet this incredible man I now reside in California where and i have become an actor. I studied with an actor who had worked with Audi in the movies. His name is JAMES BEST Unfortunately I never met audi.I have seen all his films, and TO HELL AND BACK SO MANY TIMES I HAVE LOST COUNT. I am so sorry that i did not get to meet him. At the time of his passing i was concluding my studying with Jimmy (james best) Jimmy spoke well of him and told me some interesting stories. I am aged 70 and I saw a number of Audie's movies in my earlier years including To Hell and Back. Although he was not a great actor, the movies were enjoyable and often had a slightly different slant on the usual Western theme. Thank you for maintaining the Memorial to Audie.
