I love everything about Audie except that he passed away. I still love to watch his movies especially "To Hell and Back". I would really have loved to meet him. I did get to meet 17 of his fellow MOH winners while stationed at Griffiss AFB NY back in September of 82 and trust me when I say it was indeed an Honor.

I too worked hard to enter the Military finally going to Ft Dixx in 1979. I have many physical ailments and I was discharged 3 weeks later. Audie is a shining light in a cloudy world. We needed his effort and his desire to succeed and his story will never be forgotten.
I hope Hollywood will consider doing a remake of his story for future generations to learn from.

Mr. Murphy is a shining example of the American legacy. No matter your status in life, no matter your stature if you have the will, desire and backbone you can do absolutely anything and reach any goal. A phenomenal man and the very essence of the American Spirit.

I served with the Australian Army, as an Infantryman for 30 years. I served in the Vietnam conflict with an Infantry Battalion, 67/68. I am and always will be a fan of Audie Leon Murphy. I seen his movie to Hell and back when I was 14 years old. I am now pushing 64 years of age. One day, I hope to visit his grave at Arlington cemetery. He typifies what heros are all about.

Darryl Tinker

I love that there are so many other fan's out there! I love that they have a website up honoring Audie Murphy! I discovered his memoir "To Hell and Back" when I was 14 and I've reread it at least 12 times. Audie Murphy is my personal hero. Yes, I'm 25 and I'm a girl, but I've always have highly respected and loved the men who served in ww2. I think they gave the ultimate sacrifice that we can't even begin to imagine. My Grandpa served as a B-17 pilot and he would never talk about it, so I know that this wasn't just a bunch of boys playing soldier, it was real. I just want to thank all of our men and women in uniform, then and now.
And thank you, for this website, it's awesome!
