Hello.....in around 1957 or maybe 58...I saw an Audie Murphy western that had a song with the lyrics...Follow the river, the river knows the way..follow the river back to me....I fell in love with Audie in that movie and I cannot remember the name of it, just those lyrics from the movie score....is there anyone out there that knows what movie that was? Thank you for any info you can give.

My Grandpa knew Audie Murphy when he was a sharecropper in Greenville, he talked to Audie before they left to go sign up for the war, my Grandpa lied about his age and got away with it though!
good to see this website.

This is an awesome website, and I was awed when I saw Mr. Murphy's grave in Arlington Cemetery several years ago.

My mother and I have always been huge fans of Audie Murphy. In fact I had a buddy of mine argue with me when I told him, Audie was the most decorated war hero of WWII. until one nite we were at work and "to hell and back" was on. at the end, It said the same thing I had told him. I was surprised because he is the same age as me and I just assumed everyone knew. but apparently not....so thank you in your continuing work to honor a man who so richly deserves it !!
