My dad was in WWII. He received 5 bronze medals. He was involved in the Normady invasion. Unfortunately he gave those medals to me when I was a kid and I lost them. These guys and gals have made our lives what they are now. I am ashamed that I did not recognize their heroics sooner in my life!

Watched his bio on A&E, also watched his movie To Hell & Back - what an amazing man, its such a shame, the way he died. He makes me proud to be an Army vet and an American. :)

Audie was my favourite film star when I was a youngster. It wasn't till later that I found out what a hero he was and I've never forgotten him.
