We remember Audie every year now here in Farmersville, Celeste, Kingston, Merit and Greenville, around his birthday June 20th. I had been looking for all his films names, etc. now I have them thanks to this website. I already had 4 movies and I just acquired the one and only TV series he made,"Whispering Smith" which I had not known of until last Saturday while visiting the Audie Murphy and American Cotton Museum in Greenville Texas. A must see museum if you ever come to area 40 to 60 miles east of Dallas Texas. "Whispering Smith" all 20 episodes aired on NBC in 1961 + 5 complete never-before-aired episodes and including a long-lost episode. Added: July 24, 2012

Audie Murphy has been a hero of mine since I was a child in the 1940's. Later, while I served in the U.S. Army, I was stationed at Camp Walters in Mineral Wells, Texas (1959-1960), where Audie Murphy took his basic training only 17 years earlier. It was an honor to walk the grounds where such an American hero got his start in the military. From Camp Walters, I was transferred to Germany where I could see some of the places where Audie Murphy made such a difference for America. We do need to remember him and keep him in the public eye, certainly in these times of uncertainty in the United States. Thank you for what you are doing with his website.
