I believe the memory of Audie should be remembered. He was truly a real hero. I myself served in Vietnam and know a little about real war. Audie Murphy was much more than a hero to our country, he was a true man with wonderful convictions. He didn't think of his own safety at all, just about saving others in his company.

My husband, and I, were lucky enough to visit the Audie Murphy Memorial while on a Rhine River cruise and we were both so impressed! Visiting war sites is really not my thing, but I have to tell you that our guide was so knowledgeable about WWII, the positions of the various armies and the courage of Audie Murphy, along with several other American soldiers, that I was captivated by this history. Then, to be standing on the spot where the battle took place with little change to the area was surreal and frightening, to tell you the truth.

What brave men and women we have that fight to protect our freedom! No amount of words, or thanks, is enough!!

I'm a fan of old movies, but just now am seeing Bad Boy on TMC. I heard of Audie Murphy all my life (55 now), but just now read his bio on IMDb. I am really touched by his life's story and find him an amazing man. I understand the effects of PTSD and see his past compassionately. You know by looking at him, that underneath whatever pain he carried, was a very good and honorable man. I want to learn more and will be visiting this site so I can know more about Mr. Murphy. He was an extraordinary man. Look forward to learning more. Thank you, his family, for continuing his legacy on this site!

I am a 10 year old boy and I want you all to know that my Dad died one year, 3 months and 11 days ago. I loved my Dad very very much and I miss him so much. The reason I mention him is because my Dad named me after Audie Murphy and I feel very special knowing that my Dad named me after a very special person. I have read some of the things about Audie Murphy and its so awesome and it makes me so proud to know that I was named after him. My Dad must have loved me so very very much to have named me after someone so special.
