This man exemplified what it means to be a real hero. The standards and values he upheld are a rarity in todays world. We would be well served to promote and teach his story to all our children. God bless his soul and thank you Audie for your valent service.

Since marrying my husband in1972 we have always watched Audie movies and enjoyed each,it is a shame that he is not at least remembered on veterans day.

Audie Murphy will be remembered as a hero until the end of time. I was a young child and loved all of his movies. As young as I was, I knew there was a quiet reserve from this actor. He was unassuming, genteel and a gentleman, as well as one of the best looking actors, right up there with John Derek, Tyrone Power,Errol Flynn and such. I am so happy that something is being done to preserve the memory of this true American Hero!!!

I only recently learned about Audie Murphy and have searched the web and watched every movie I can find, began with To Hell and Back. What an amazing young man he was..what an inspiration he has remained. In the times in which we live when liberty is at stake...I surely do wish we had a million like him. What a man.

His story, life, writings such a blessing. I thank God for Audie Murphy and his legacy.

I remember well going to the drive in with the family being treated to many Audie Murphy films and as I have become older feel the need to make sure he is remembered and given the respect such an heroic man deserves. Thanks for the site.

He was a true American Hero and we were taught history in school about the most decorated soldier in WW2. His movie To Hell & Back starring himself will always remain in my heart. :!inlove:
