I saw the film To Hell & Back when I was a teen. I have read Audie's biography. I would like to know more about him. Opinions differ about what kind of man he truly was but I remaim enthralled by his story & courage. Added: August 21, 2012

My husband studied hard and earned the Audie Murphy Award years ago. As I learned about Audie Murphy, the soldier seemed to be brave and outgoing in everything he had accomplished. So, I thought the club would have memorabilia for sale or easy to get items, just to show others his heroic actions for Audie and all the great soldiers who strive to be like him! If this website could give me more info on where I could find memorabilia, please let me know! Added: August 19, 2012

Knew about his amazing war record after seeing his movie performance of himself. Mesmerized by all the westerns in which he acted. Followed his Congressional career. Shocked and sadden by his death from a plane crash. I still watch his movies when I have chance. A great and brave man.

I graduated from Basic/AIT Training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. The Ceremony was held at the Hall Dedicated to his Name. "1st Lt. Audie Murphy Hall" I was stationed at the Army Base where he received his Medal of Honor and where he was discharged following the ceremony despite his career ending injuries. If there ever were a Hero in all of history Audie Murphy is that Hero. R.I.P. 1st Lt. Murphy And lest not to forget all other fallen Comrades that have died for Freedom. Added: August 16, 2012

I'm 47, been in the USCG for 22 years and I'm proud of this country and heroes like Mr. Murphy. I agree the youth of today do not appreciate what men/women did for this country. I really believe more needs to be taught in school about our history and military heroes. I'll remember Audie Murphy as long as I'm breathing! God Bless Him! Added: August 14, 2012
