I was good friends with Audie's brotherEugene or Gene as he was known to me. A wonderful man and I have fond memories of him. His brother Audie,a true American hero. I met Audie's brother over the citizens band radio as his call sign was KBU 2393! A great family I will always remember.

This is a very cool site...my Dad was just telling about Audie Murphy and we looked him up on google search to find out more.
My Dad lives in Tucson, Arizona and he was telling me how Audie would come to Tucson to get gas and his fishing license from a local mobile station, he repeated his business there because the owner didn't "make a fuss" over him when he'd stop there. Just a little bit of trivia :)
