I have heard and read about and watched Audie Murphy all of my life. I was born in 1944. However, I am concerned that younger generations will not be aware of what he did and why he did it. I appeal to "whatever powers there be" that a national attempt to revive the details of his heroism, modesty, and honors. Added: November 1, 2012

To Mr.Audie L. Murphy: I wish i could of done this while you were alive, but for your family i can say this now. You were and always will be one of my biggest heroes! You never gave up hope and gave hope and strength to those around you. You also gave hope, strength and alot of pride to most of us who saw your films. I just wanted to say "Thank You" for what you did! Also for sharing it with us in your films. Again "Thank You". ps: I've told my daughter and grandchildren about you, heros need to be and must be remembered forever! Added: November 1, 2012

Audie Murphy has been my real-life hero since boyhood, particularly after seeing him in his autobiographical film, "To Hell and Back". After that, he appeared in around 40 films, most were westerns. Due to his severe circumstances of so much combat, after WWII, he always slept with a pistol and had frequent nightmares which reflected of those experiences. RIP, Soldier and eternal thanks for your courageous service to this country and the World!!! Added: October 31, 2012 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
