I am 58 years old and have been an Audie Murphy fan for a long time .am watching 7 ways from sundown from 1960. I knew about Audies military record. And that's just 1 reason that I am a big fan.

I have been selected to attend the Audie Murphy board. It is an honor to be selected for this board and to study and learn about the true American War Hero, Audie Leon Murphy. Studying for this board alone has already improved my leadership abilities and knowledge.

Incredible feats of valor and actor and humanitarian. We need more like him and need to continue to spread his story forever. I have taught my son (20 yrs old) and daughter (25 yrs old) now my granddaughters . Our family history includes fighting in the American revolution and several family. Members in the civil war. One of which was a prisoner at Anderson prison, who lived through the ordeal. Our soldiers and they're memories need told to future generations to come. Thanks for allowing these comments.

Been my hero for as long as I can remember! Went to Arlington just to touch his headstone. I was truly honored for that. Long live Audie Murphy.....

I served in Vietnam in 1970 with the 101st Airborne Division as an E-5, in both combat and intelligence operations. When I left Boston to go "in country', my late dad, who had served in WW II, gave me some great advice.

He told me to be safe and carry myself as the type of soldier Audie Murphy was. I did not receive the decorations Audie Murphy did, but I did my job and took care of whatever assignment I was given. God Bless you, Audie !!!
