Audie Murphy may be the very finest soldier that this continent has ever produced.

Watched "To Hell and Back", staring Audie Murphy. This is the first time I have ever heard of this well known, unknown hero. How tragic that America is unaware of this "real hero". What kind of nation does not educate and inspire such an inspiring individual? We should have an American Holiday for this guy. Other nations have honored him and are probably still learning about him. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BRAVERY! AN AMERICAN, THANKS TO YOU!

Audie Murphy was my childhood hero and still is. If I'm not mistaken my parents ordered a time life series, and Audie Murphy was on the cover one month. Believe it was the month of his birthday, it had a hard cover.

A true hero. A man who did what he did because it was needed. Not for glory, or honour, but for his men and his country. God rest his soul.
