My mother and aunt were big fans of Audie Murphy and named me after him. I have been a huge fan of his and really understand where he came from as a soldier.

I have followed the life of Audie Murphy, from a very young age and I am disappointed that the American people do not remember, or Honour his memory today, befitting the person he was representing America, during WW2, and beyond.

I was just watching "To Hell and Back".and read up on some of the battles and was amazed at the end to read that Audie M. Starred in the picture himself. It prompted me to do a short research, and read of his heroism during his service to our country. Surprised to read the movie was fairly accurate and he had actually single handed turned back the German assault on the bavk of that tank (yes different tank and different weather conditions than in movie but) it was the bravest thing I ever heard of... OMG to be 19 and have achieved so much, truly an American hero if I ever heard of one.

Respects,
Tye A. Hampton
