I learned about Audie Murphy from my uncle who fought in WWII in the army, from North Africa to Austria. I also saw a number of his movies. I am very pleased to see this website that honors and preserves his memory in an extraordinary fashion. He deserves it. I always try to post something on his birthday each year. I will support the efforts to obtain the Presidential Medal of Freedom for Mr. Murphy.

Audie Murphy was a great American patriot. I enjoyed the movie on his life. It is a shame that he has not received more recognition for his superb service. Americans need to know his story, so the greatness of our heritage may be appreciated!

Saw memorabilia about Audie Murphy years ago at the Ft. Stewart Museum. Just encountered a meme on Facebook featuring Audie Murphy, and found this page while researching information about him. Keep up the good work; he was a true American hero and deserves nothing less.
