I GREW UP WATCHING HIS MOVIES. I WAS AMAZED TO FIND OUT HE WAS THE MOST DECORATED SOLDIER FROM WW2. HE PLAYED HIMSELF AND RIGHTFULLY SO IN THE MOVIE BASED ON HIS LIFE. HE INSPIRED MANY OF US. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

I grew up watching Audie Murphy movies thinking all the time that he was my hero. Little did I know that he was an actual real life hero and I found this out when I read "To Hell and Back". What an amazing and frightening story. My Dad was in WWll but nothing close to the action seen by Audie. May he always stay in our hearts and rememerances. I'm going to France in October and I hope I will have the opportunity to find his memorial, which would be a great honor to visit. Never forget our veterans!

I Loved watching Audie Murphy westerns. I watch them over and over again. I have watched "To Hell and Back" about 10 times. It was a great movie, about the most decorated hero in world war 2.

A truly remarkable soldier. After reading his awards I was overwhelmed with the bravery and leadership of Audie. It leaves me in awe of his experiences and self sacrifice. It would be a great education for this information to be told to today's citizens in getting to know the real sacrifices Audie made.

He Was A Great Man ! My father was in WWII., too. Most of our country's great men and women of that area, have all been called to that higher power, to serve the Lord. Missed, but not for gotten, by people born in the fifty's and before. :)
