I joined the US Army in January of 1956. I was lucky enough to be in the audience for a talk to the "young troops" by Major Audie Murphy while in Basic Training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. No, I can't remember all that he said but I will never forget the feeling of comradery I had after his talk. I will always admire him. Added: June 2, 2017

I remember watching movies starring Audie Murphy as a child and always knew he was a WWII hero. More recently we have access to GRIT TV and they have shown several of his movies that I've watched and enjoyed as an adult. Audie Murphy is a true American hero and his actions speak louder than any words could ever voice. Added: June 1, 2017 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
